Limited-Edition Spicy Brioche Buns to Boost Category Sales
05/15/2026New seasonal product designed to drive premiumisation, frequency and fixture excitement this summer.
St Pierre, the number one brioche brand[1], has expanded its best-selling range with a limited-edition Spicy Brioche Bun 4-pack, in major US retailers now. Available through to the end of August, the seasonal line is designed to offer incremental sales during the summer peak, targeting shoppers seeking restaurant-style indulgence at home.
4 Spicy Brioche Burger Buns
Our #1 Brioche Bun meets the new sweet ‘n spicy flavor trend ‘Swicy’. Our chili-infused brioche dough with a delicious breadcrumb topping of dried onion, garlic and smoked paprika will be a showstopper at your next cook-out or burger night.
- Limited edition
- Exciting culinary innovation
- No bioengineered ingredients
- Made in France
The new brioche buns blend St Pierre’s signature golden, soft, and decadent brioche with a gently spiced chilli flavour, meeting growing demand for bold, globally inspired foods. As savoury flavour innovation gains traction in bakery, the product provides a clear trade-up opportunity for retailers looking to add excitement to the fixture and respond to shopper appetite for heat and flavour fusion.
The rise of “swicy” – sweet and spicy flavor combinations – continues to accelerate across the US food industry, with Datassential reporting that nearly one in ten US restaurant menus now feature sweet-and-spicy items.

Kayleigh Swift, US Brand Manager, St Pierre Bakery, comments: “We know that consumers are looking for more adventurous mealtime options, particularly during grilling season. The ‘swicy’ trend has gained traction in out-of-home and increasingly, such trends make their way into home kitchens.
“The St Pierre portfolio is designed to elevate everyday eating experiences and our spicy buns meet consumer demand to recreate restaurant-quality meals at home. Furthermore, this launch allows retailers to capitalise on the shift toward spicy flavour profiles and elevate the role of brioche in savory meal occasions, bringing new shoppers to the fixture.”

St Pierre’s Spicy Brioche Buns are available from selected Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, Redners, Uncle Giuseppe, McCaffreys, Big Y, Fareway and HyVee stores nationwide and backed with a 360-degree support plan featuring in-store activations, sampling, influencer marketing and consumer PR, alongside the return of the St Pierre ‘Eat, Avec, Respect’ brand campaign.
Throughout last year, premium branded offerings outperformed private label in ISB and it was products encouraging flavor exploration – alongside sweet treats – that drove the majority of growth in the sector[2].
Though the St Pierre brand has been available in the US market for more than a decade, the Spicy Brioche launch represents its first limited-edition product, designed to capitalise on the trend for spicy/sweet flavor combinations and bring new shoppers into the category.
St Pierre already offers the number one selling SKU and brioche burger in ISB but is aiming to boost sales and brand visibility during a key sales period with this latest addition to its portfolio of authentic brioche products.[3]
St Pierre Spicy Brioche Burger Buns also benefit from St Pierre’s distinctive shelf-ready packaging, featuring flavour signposting and ‘Limited Edition’ messaging to support visibility and drive impulse purchase.
